So Many Words - Chico Buarque

Launched in 1989, reissued in 1995 and out of print for many years, the songbook Chico Buarque: lyrics and music became not only a success with the public, but also the main source of information about the composer's life and work. Reformulated and greatly enriched, the book is now back on the shelves with a new title, bringing together all the lyrics written by Chico since "Tem mais samba" (1964), which he considers the ground zero of his career, until the CD Carioca (2006). Also part of the book is an extensive biographical report written by journalist Humberto Werneck based on research and interviews carried out with Chico himself and with characters such as Tom Jobim, Edu Lobo, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil. Expanded by more than 70% and completely revised since the first edition, the biographical text includes the last fifteen years of Chico Buarque's life and adds important information to the tasty stories raised by Werneck, such as the episode of the future composer's arrest, still in his teens. - his first appearance in the press, as "the smallest FBH".
