The Twelve Songs of Brazil - by Johan Dalgas Frisch and Christian Dalgas Frisch
Descrição
In this half century of research on the magnificent cast of winged actors, who move on stage in the fields and forests of our country, we published two books Jardim dos Beija-Flores e Aves Brasileiras e Plantas Que as Atraem e - and recorded two dozen albums , containing songs of the most representative elements of the ornithological fauna of Brazil and South America.
By publishing this small book dedicated to a dozen of the most expressive Brazilian birds, accompanied by a sound addendum containing their unmistakable voices, our purpose is to draw the attention of the reader and listener to the fact that the survival of these creatures, whose lives you come to know and whose songs he will hear at each hour marking, largely depends on him.
Jaó's dolente call and the magical melody of Uirapuru are an appeal to the conscience of each one of us, nature lovers, so that we fight for the preservation of our homeland's environment, taking care of it, which is essential for the survival of its wild inhabitants.
That these stories and songs remain engraved in the memories of people of good will and awaken in them the love that our birds deserve, is all we can hope for.
