The Power of Hypnosis: Mental Engineering - by André Percia

Some psychologists ignore the clinical use of hypnosis, and those who have heard of it rarely use it. Much of it cites Sigmund Freud outside of an analytical context, when it would have discouraged its use. However, what Freud seems to have lacked was the possibility of understanding that hypnosis can be done in other ways than through a mechanical process with direct and limited commands, without considering the emotional and psychological dynamics of the patients. Other schools of hypnosis emphasize trance levels and insist that the hypnotist must seek to know them well and move his patient purposefully between them. Others, like the author of this work André Percia, with a strong Ericksonian influence, prefer to “let it happen”. In this sense, this work is the result of a working method developed by the author, who studied and applied the various NLP approaches in an integrated way. Together with NLP, Transformative Mental Engineering is an attempt to truly unify the roles of therapist, neurolinguistic programmer and hypnotherapist, in an integrated clinical practice. NLP psychology, unlike other psychology, is focused more on working with the “structure” than on the “contents”. NLP patterns deconstruct these “problematic” combinations (neolinguistic programming), helping the patient to make healthier choices, as well as conditions to create new programming within assumptions identified as generating healthier processes for themselves. Through an informative and thought-provoking narrative from beginning to end, the author's goal is to help his fellow therapists, hypnotherapists, neurolinguistic programmers and human development professionals to start a debate about infinite possibilities, so that people can have a better quality life.
