Once upon a time, near Serra da Capivara, there was a couple who really wanted to have a child. It didn't take long, a boy the color of a jamelão was born. The baby was tiny, the size of a thumb. His parents were happy and named him Jamelão. But they really called him Little Thumb. Thus begins the tale of Cristina Agostinho and Ronaldo Simões Coelho, inspired by another classic by the Brothers Grimm, for the collection from then on. As in the other books in the collection, the authors recount the adventures of the smart and playful boy, adapting it to the Brazilian regional universe. This time, in the arid setting of the caatinga of Piauí, where Little Thumb ventures among Zambelese, armadillos, anteaters, goats and capuchin monkeys, and discovers prehistoric drawings in a cave in Serra da Capivara.
