Cultural Manifestations of Brazil - by Tino Freitas
Cultural Manifestations of Brazil - by Tino Freitas
Descrição
The children's box " Cultural Manifestations of Brazil " presents 50 of the country's intangible heritage sites registered by Iphan in an itinerant story written by Tino Freitas
The work brings together the books “A tour of Brazilian Intangible Heritage” and “A cultural journey through Creative Brazil”, a playbook and an illustrative map to introduce children and young people to the diversity of artistic manifestations, knowledge, celebrations and places that make up the portrait of our country
The story of the two volumes follows a fun trip through Brazil made by the brothers Ada and Tonico, alongside their parrot, Mário (a tribute to Mário de Andrade). But they don't travel alone: Núbia and Coaraci, the duo's parents, also embark with them aboard the family's Kombi, Catinga. Together, the five will travel from north to south of Brazil on a journey full of adventures and fantasy. The Caruaru Fair, Cordel Literature, the Craft of the Paneleiras of Goiabeiras, the Samba de Roda of the Recôncavo Baiano, the Way of Making Viola-de-Cocho, the Frevo, the Tambor de Crioula and the Samba Headquarters in Rio de Janeiro are among the goods presented in the plot. There will also be an audiobook option as an accessibility resource for those who purchase the publication.
