Book, Black Voices in Communication[LS]
Book, Black Voices in Communication[LS]
Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Tensioned by subjects and emancipatory movements, the articulations between communication and race, as well as the overlap between media and racism, present themselves as a challenge for those who believe in and fight for social and cognitive justice. The articles that make up this book interpret, question and propose alternatives to this topic through analyzes by authors from different theoretical fields in dialogue with communication. These are experiences and investigations that understand the centrality of race in the Brazilian reality. What's more: they understand their centrality in intersectional theorizations and political practices that unmask the coloniality of being, power and knowledge, hidden under the myth of racial democracy. Nothing better than a critical, politically and epistemologically engaged investigation to understand and reveal how the media, which permeates our lives, is forged, historically, in the context of profound inequalities.
