Book, Value of the Teacher, O[LS]
Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. The mediocre teacher counts. The good teacher explains. The senior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” The phrase by North American educator and writer William Arthur Ward represents well the importance and responsibility of teachers, who need to inspire in students confidence, the desire to learn and, fundamentally, citizenship and good human values. But it is necessary for these professionals to discover their true value and recognize the importance assigned to them. The most beautiful ideas about education, the most sincere and moving praise for the role of teaching in the development of a country and the most generous dreams in which the school appears as a space for true learning and human growth do not solve the problem of education if teachers and teachers are not and do not feel valued. This work, through a rich dialogue, offers more than convincing arguments for the appreciation of these professionals, who occupy an incomparable place in the lives of each of us and in the social structure.
