Book, Treatise on Neurology of the Brazilian Academy Neurology 2/19[LS]

The Treatise on Neurology, 2nd edition, addresses the main areas of Neurology, allowing the systematization and knowledge of neurological diseases, in addition to their updating. Carried out by professionals with proven experience and specific knowledge on the topics, the texts cover epidemiological aspects, prevention, complementary exams, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. All the work was done within this perspective, bringing classic concepts alongside the newest. The Treaty is divided into large sections, which were coordinated by Abn's scientific departments together with prominent experts in their respective areas. The sections are subdivided into chapters, to which renowned experts (national and international) from each area were invited, resulting in clear and didactic texts, according to the personal experience and research of each author, always based on updated literature. Indications and conclusions, whenever possible, were based on clinical evidence and national and international consensus. All chapters present a selection of updated and most prominent bibliographical references on the subject, allowing interested readers to deepen their specific knowledge. The 2nd edition included some new topics that are of interest in clinical practice, as well as conduct based on opinions from public bodies that enable the adaptation of procedures to clinical practice.
