Book, Treatise on Rehabilitation Medicine 1/17[LS]

The Rehabilitation Medicine Treaty shows the experience of several medical schools and rehabilitation services, chosen from among the most important in the country, with the aim of creating a quality benchmark in the available literature, in the Portuguese language, in the area of ​​rehabilitation. The work seeks to disseminate, as a priority, the main concepts based on the scientific evidence of Rehabilitation Medicine, seeking to value and integrate all aspects of a rehabilitation program in different syndromes and disabling diseases. Rehabilitation is, in the vast majority of cases, a multidisciplinary work, which requires a trained multidisciplinary team, capable of helping the patient achieve their functional goals. This is another of the characteristics of this publication, which highlights the importance of each professional in the rehabilitation aspect. Coordinated by Júlia Maria D'Andréa Greve, physiatrist and associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, with extensive experience in teaching and practicing Rehabilitation Medicine, this Treatise covers 179 chapters written by authors chosen for their competence and experience in different areas. A pioneering work due to its scope and quality, it will become a mandatory reference in national literature for the training and improvement of professionals in the rehabilitation field.
