This edition of Todos os contos, in two hardcover volumes and more than 1200 pages, comes in a box with a special design by Elaine Ramos. Bestiary, All the fireworks, The secret weapons, Octahedron, End of the game, Stories of cronopios and fame, all of Cortázar's fundamental books are here. The edition also features the author's two famous essays on the writing of short stories, “Some aspects of the tale”, from 1963, and “Do conto breve e seu surroundings”, from 1969, as well as a study by the Argentine critic Jaime Alazraki on Cortázar wrote short stories. “In Cortázar, the short story is understood as an organic totality, a narrative with rigorous economy, a structure in tension, limited in time and space, in which all the elements must necessarily be in function of the unitary effect of the whole .” — Davi Arrigucci Jr.
