Descrição
Michel Maffesoli is considered the founder of everyday sociology. Born in France in 1944, he dedicated himself to the study of Post-Modernity, and was the mentor of the idea that modern society has essentially become a complex urban tribe, with its codes of socialization and its ultramodern resources, all so that the communication is carried out ad infinitum, even if it may lack content or justification or even if this communication is lost in superficialities, unlike the now laughable smoke signals of the ancient American Indians. In the work Time Returns, the author develops and deepens the theme, and explains why a significant part of today's society remains “prisoner” of social networking sites. Michel Maffesoli addresses, in a bold way, what he calls the “invagination of meaning”, and raises frequently relevant questions when discussing the “wildness of the world”, the “prevalence of the body” and the “plural person”, some of the striking characteristics of a postmodern world in constant tribal fragmentation and restructuring.
