Language: Brazilian Portuguese. About Community' is a collection of texts, organized by Marcelo Dascal and Oscar Zimmermann, which represents his true synthesis of Martin Buber's social and political thought. In it come together the philosopher of religious existentialism, of the eternal dialogue between 'I and You' and the man of his time, eager to respond to the demands of immediate action at the crossroads of a period unique in its questions and dramas. From life in the Kibbutz, an authentic communal experience, to the tyrannical communal mask that Nazism tried to impose on the pure race, from the struggle for Jewish reconstruction in Israel to the resistance against the exterminating forces of fascist totalitarianism, here are some main parameters of a collective, Jewish and human experience , in which Buber gathered the elements for a broad and profound discussion on the forms of collective existence, especially in its community expression - a theme that goes beyond more private experiences to lead to a reflection on the very possibility of men living in society without devouring each other and without annihilating each other. It is in the Buberian dialogue, always renewed and inexhaustible in its authenticity, as well as in its defense of the community among men, that one can glimpse this faint spark of light illuminating a possible path towards a humanism for which Buber lived and fought.
