Descrição
Schoah -- 'catastrophe' in Hebrew -- is what the author prefers to call what was one of the most remarkable events of the 20th century and one of the greatest tragedies not only in the history of Jews, but of all humanity: the Holocaust. Schoá, the exterminating genocide of the Jewish populations of Europe subjected to the Nazi criminal State, constitutes, due to its ferocity, its systematic form, its dimension, the most obvious crime of the Nazis' conspiracy against civilization. Researching the genesis of this plot, following the mechanisms of its execution, knowing the different aspects of its effective reality responds to an imperative - that of remembering what abominations men are capable of. It is also about identifying, through the decidedly modern features of its implementation, to alert us to what was installed in the advanced culture of the 20th century and which left agents still active in our world today. This is what this book aims to introduce and for this reason the publisher Perspectiva committed to bringing it to the Portuguese-speaking public, in its Khronos collection, in a publication expanded by the author, for the Brazilian edition.
