Book, Psychoanalysis in a new key[LS]

Isaias Melsohn, a prestigious teaching psychoanalyst at the Brazilian Society of Psychoanalysis of São Paulo, presents in Psychoanalysis in Nova Chave, which Editora Perspectiva makes available to Portuguese-speaking readers in its Studies collection, the epistemological and psychological assumptions that determine core conceptions of Theory Psychoanalytic. The author compares them with current psychological investigations and the most significant semantic innovations, with a view to legitimizing the reformulation of those conceptions. The central theses of this study aim to criticize the notion of the Unconscious, which provoked a rigorous and in-depth discussion with The International Journal of Psycho-Analysis, the full text of which is reproduced in this volume.
