Book, Psychoanalysis and revolution: critical psychology for liberation movement[LS]
Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. This book-manifesto, written by British author Ian Parker and Mexican David Pavón-Cuéllar, is organized around the question: What is revolutionary in psychoanalysis? And why should we, who are involved in political praxis, take it seriously? This manifesto is an argument in favor of uniting social transformation with personal liberation, showing that these two aspects of profound change can be intimately connected through psychoanalysis. The manifesto explores what is behind us, what we keep repeating, what moves us to change and what makes us stay the same, and how these phenomena are transferred in the clinical space. This book is still critical of psychoanalysis, but seeks to transform it, so that liberation movements can transform the world.
