Book, Poetics in action[LS]
Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Without forcing the paradox, it is possible to say that this book by Roman Jakobson, which Editora Perspectiva makes available to our reading public, is a true structural history of Western poetry, and perhaps it is read today in a more appropriate way than it would otherwise be. if it had been published when the author enjoyed, back in the 1970s, enormous international fame as one of the founders of modern structuralism. And it is not forcing the paradox because the luminous ideas that permeate the essays in Poética em Ação are no longer controversial pieces to be incorporated into the common collection of knowledge about poetry. They gained that tranquility typical of classical configurations, without, precisely, ceasing to be necessary for the restless movement of the most insightful inquiries into the articulations between language and art. They are classic, that is, after existing among the controversies that the presence of their author provoked, they began, or may begin, to be read as achievements of intelligence and sensitivity by public consensus. The reader of this book soon discovers what is intended to be suggested by all this: it is enough to read any of the essays, from the most 'technical' to the most broadly 'cultural' (and the quotation marks must be understood as difficulties of distinction), to know that You are not reading a simple professor or disseminator of linguistics, but rather an inventor of new relationships, a creator on a theoretical level, for whom the action of a poem, being that of language, leaves behind the figure of a linguistic poetics.
