Since the first edition of the work, the knowledge base regarding advances in periodontal regeneration, aesthetics and implant dentistry has been changing rapidly. With this in mind, the authors recruited more than 100 experts to discuss their logic and reasoning in various clinical situations. This fifth edition has been updated and expanded to include topics relevant to today, for example, “the state of the art” in clinical practice. This expansion – associated with the tribute to Dr. Hall – led them to choose the title of this book: Periodontics and Implantology | Hall Algorithms for Clinical Practice. The chapters were grouped into twelve sections and identified by color for easy consultation. The sections have been organized to guide the reader through the decision-making process, starting with the clinical examination, going through global periodontal treatment and ending with implant treatment.
