Book, Veterinary Pathology (Alessi) 2/16[LS]

The wide acceptance of the book Patologia Veterinária, released in 2010, motivated the authors to produce this second edition. Throughout its 15 chapters, dedicated to each of the main organic systems, this book has been updated, expanded and complemented by its authors, recognized experts. In addition, some new experts were added to the contributors to this work. Even though we are aware of the limitation of content compared to the universe of information available, we sought to bring what is essential to the understanding of veterinary pathology. As in the first edition, there was concern with the description of the characteristics, often peculiar, of diseases found in animal species from different regions of Brazil. This second edition advances in parallel with the expansion of Veterinary Medicine teaching and coincides with a period of evident consolidation of pathology as a veterinary medical specialty in Brazil. Therefore, it is hoped that the increasingly broader community of pathologists and undergraduate and postgraduate students will benefit from this work and can even contribute to its improvement in future editions.
