Book, Parenting (Teperman)[LS]

Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Due to the pressing need to separate the theme of parenting from its normative universe, we created the Parentality & Psychoanalysis collection, which articulates the two fields. Understanding parenting as the production of discourses and the conditions offered by the previous generation so that a new generation is subjectively constituted at a given time, we take from psychoanalysis its knowledge about the exercise of parental functions to understand the constitution of the subject in the family beyond the parent universe -mother-baby. In Parentality, the first volume of the collection, we propose a definition of the field, discuss it with other knowledge and reflect on the manifestations of the current discomfort of fathers and mothers in raising their children. We present a critical and renewed approach to a topic that has occupied different areas of study in recent decades and we deal with issues such as race, gender and social crossings, expanding the listening to the phenomena that present themselves in our time.
