As a thematic axis, Marly Augusto Cardoso and Fernanda Baeza Scagliusi adopted the guidelines of the Food Guide for the Brazilian Population, published in 2014 by the Ministry of Health. However, in each chapter, the authors highlight the nutritional recommendations recommended by the World Health Organization ( WHO) and the guidelines of the Brazilian Ministry of Health for promoting healthy eating.
