Book, New poetic anthology (Vinicius)[LS]

The old Poetic Anthology by Vinicius de Moraes dates back to 1954. It was organized by the author himself (with the help of friends, mainly Manuel Bandeira), who updated it in 1967, maintaining its structure. This new poetic anthology is signed by poets Antonio Cicero and Eucanaã Ferraz, and was originally launched in 2003. The organizers revised concepts, redid the structure and put together a careful selection, taking a renewed look at Vinicius' work. Both specialized critics and the public immediately recognized that in the new anthology Vinicius de Moraes' poetry appears freer, more modern, denser and, simultaneously, lighter. The volume was an immediate success, and soon began to be published at Companhia de Bolso. It now forms part of the new editorial project for the works of Vinicius de Moraes, and brings, among other new features, a beautiful image notebook with several unpublished photos, reproductions of manuscripts and rare documents. Closing the volume, the reader will find a selection of critical texts, including the "old" Poetic Anthology, signed by Rubem Braga, followed by a chronology of the life and work of this one of the greatest Brazilian poets of the 20th century .
