Descrição
Recent improvements in the methods and scope of action of oral history have been producing significant results in different fields of science and manifestations centered on man, in his trajectories and in his interaction as a living being and agent of his experiences, that is, in those that are marked by historicity and in which memory consigns its presence. In this sense, The Nazi Tattoos: Inscriptions or Injuries on the Human Body?, by Célia Maria Antonacci Ramos, brings a sample and an exemplary synthesis of what this way of delving into the past can provide as a report of experiences, analysis of its factors and teaching of your lessons. Through the testimonies of survivors of the Nazi horrors in concentration and extermination camps, with the voice and anguish of traumatic memories tattooed live on the victims' bodies, this study introduces its reader almost bodily to the hell of a racism that became the model expression , not only the inhuman relations between human beings, but also the most brutal crystallization of the capacity that the cultural pathology of prejudices and ideological and political fundamentalisms have to stamp, with their group, ethnic, national and religious exclusivisms, the mark of Cain of hatred towards your fellow man.
