Book, In the vertigo of the day[LS]
Descrição
In the vertigo of the day was originally published in 1980. It is the following book to the famous Dirty Poem, released in 1976. The title is consistent with the trajectory of a poet for whom poetry is born from astonishment. Vertigo is in the rush of things, of metropolitan rhythms, of uncontrollable facts, of memory, of values fighting within the subject. Suffering the division that operates between the need for political resistance to the oppression of military dictatorships - Gullar also knew Chile and Argentina from within - and the recognition of personal drives, the poetry is created in the midst of the conciliation between the revolutionary gesture and the lyrical mirror. The Companhia das Letras edition features an unprecedented afterword by Alcides Villaça.
