Book, Music and mimesis[LS]

Through music, mimesis reveals different ways of understanding our experience of art in general, as it prioritizes the process, necessarily dynamic, never identical, never copying, that occurs, for example, in the encounter of musical structures and forms – such as melody or rhythm –, with affections, sensations and representations. The installation and uninstallation of correspondences between colors and sounds, images and sensations, rhythms and affections is a creative action, as each receiver is unique and guides, to a certain extent, their experience and how to retransmit it. Leonardo Aldrovandi's book thus transcends historical controversies, laying bare the ingenious and fascinating domain of human creativity.
