Language: Brazilian Portuguese. In the essays and fragments that make up this new volume in the Filô Benjamin series, Benjamin moves into territories that have been his since the beginning: the philosophy of language, the theory of translation, literary history and criticism. In addition to well-known and already classic essays, such as “Language in general and human language”, “The translator's task” and “The storyteller”, texts unpublished in Brazil were included in this book. Among them, important nuclei of fragments on the philosophy of language and epistemology, on translation and literary criticism, the latter of which are blatantly current.
