Book, LGBT as a journalism agenda: politics, civil rights[LS]

The work analyzes the content of two large-circulation newspapers and the way they portrayed LGBT people over the course of a year. There are four chapters with different areas of everyday coverage. The first, focused on politics, is centered on the 2014 electoral period. Next, we observe how the fight for rights is narrated. In chapter three, it is presented how newspapers expose normative standards of gender and sexuality based on celebrities. Finally, the focus is on crime matters.
