Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Due to the pressing need to separate the theme of parenting from its normative universe, we created the Parentality & Psychoanalysis collection, which articulates the two fields. Understanding parenting as the production of discourses and the conditions offered by the previous generation so that a new generation is subjectively constituted at a given time, we take from psychoanalysis its knowledge about the exercise of parental functions to understand the constitution of the subject in the family beyond the parent universe -mother-baby. In Laço, the second volume of the collection, psychoanalysts and a philosopher produced thought-provoking texts on the structural conditions for the subjective constitution, as well as sharp readings, which point to the cruciality of research and transmission in the face of the fraying of the social bond, racial and of gender that we only see accentuated in our time.
