Book, Hydraulic and Sanitary Installations (Creder) 6/06[LS]

Hydraulic and Sanitary Installations remains rigorously updated with current Brazilian standards in the area, standing out, on the other hand, for its pioneering spirit in the introduction of internationally adopted quality standards that regulate the use of specific materials and procedures aimed at safety, simplicity and ease of maintenance of the installations. Examples of this concern include the detailing of special facilities for disabled people according to international standards (Switzerland) and the incorporation of new concepts, such as Dry-Wall, aimed at facilitating maintenance of building facilities, innovations brought about by this work. During this journey of publishing previous editions, which culminates in this sixth edition of Hydraulic and Sanitary Installations, Hélio Creder demonstrated his concern with following the architectural and occupational evolution of more sophisticated buildings, meeting new needs such as, for example, water pressurization hot and cold in penthouse apartments, being a pioneer in preaching the elimination of expensive cast iron installations, viable only in very special cases. Within this scope, this new edition updates the chapter on Materials Technology for Hydraulic and Sanitary Installations, basically with the replacement of fiber cement pipes and connections with PVC. The scope of treatment of topics such as sauna and swimming pool installations, which are increasingly common in residential buildings and leisure areas in condominiums, was also expanded. Also important is the annotated transcription with examples of the Fire and Panic Safety Code, with Pressurization Schemes depending on the risk class, aimed at preventing accidents and protecting residents and users of these facilities. For the reader's convenience, the figures representing details and project plans were enlarged and inserted as an insert in Chapter 1 and in an attached leaflet, which accompanies the book. All these updates and modifications have always aimed, ultimately, to offer students and professionals in the field the best that exists in terms of technical knowledge about hydraulic and sanitary installations.
