Book, Industrial Electrical Installations (Mamede) 9/17[LS]
Descrição
In 2010, when the 8th edition of Industrial Electrical Installations was published, threats of generation restrictions, motivated by uncertain hydrological cycles, had already been mentioned. This situation put Brazil's electricity supply at risk, still traumatized by the rationing that occurred in 2002. Over the last seven years, the country has periodically experienced the same concern about the regular supply of electricity to consumers, notably those in the industrial class. . To control expenses, green, yellow and red flags were created on energy bills, depending on the levels of the reservoirs of the National Interconnected System (SIN) hydroelectric plants, influenced by the low recharge of the dams. The warning signal (represented by the yellow and red flags) is accompanied by an increase in the amount paid for energy consumption. These uncertainties continue to worry the industrial consumer in relation to the restriction of regular supply of electricity. Guaranteeing this supply normally involves the generation of energy in these establishments, but this is associated with high investments. Therefore, the author took care to maintain and update the chapter on Industrial generation plants. For these reasons, Industrial Electrical Installations continues to be the most referenced book for students and professionals in the sector, always with the most important and current information on the electrical energy scenario in the country. The only book that contains the update of the NBR 5419/2015 standard – Protection against atmospheric discharges.
