Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Known for his interaction between philosophy, literature, poetry and politics, the Italian Giorgio Agamben is one of the most influential philosophers today. Escaping from poetic or philosophical themes, this book by the philosopher brings his proposal in the title: that of a fundamental indistinction between an idea of language and an idea of the Idea, or of thinking. The texts, a mix of fragments and essays, are marked by the first question: the form is inseparable from what is said and also from what is not said. “Addressed to those who want to venture into the domains of words and thought, this book by Giorgio Agamben invites the reader to experience the power of language”, says Sabrina Seldmayer, researcher in the area of literature who authored the book's book. – mixed fragments and essays – are grouped into four blocks. In the first, the author presents the idea of matter, prose, caesura, vocation, truth, muse, love, among other concepts. In the second, the themes are more of a political nature: ideas of power, communism, politics and justice. The third part focuses on ideas related to language and thought, such as name, enigma, silence, light, appearance, glory, death and awakening. It ends with a defense of Kafka against his interpreters.
