Book, History of written culture in the 19th and 20th centuries[LS]
Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. The book brings together articles that had the common objective, through carrying out case studies at different scales of observation, to gather elements for the construction of a history of written culture, particularly in Brazil. Some questions guided the carrying out of these studies: in what way, in a society marked by illiteracy, did individuals, families and social groups distanced, to a greater or lesser extent, from written culture, construct ways of participating in that culture? In a society of parsimonious production and circulation of printed materials, through what practices did these subjects develop tactics of incursion into a culture that was not, by origin, theirs? What type of written culture did these practices allow us to build? Did this insertion involve ruptures and ruptures with a social, family and cultural universe?
