Book, Hans Kelsen Legal and Political Theory 1/13[LS]
Descrição
This book addresses important aspects of the work of Hans Kelsen, certainly one of the greatest legal theorists of the 20th century and, even today, one of the most important references necessary for reflection in the field of legal theory and philosophy. The study of Kelsen's work does not arise from an interest limited only to the history of ideas, but rather from the perception of the fact that Kelsen's work continues – even today – to play a relevant role in discussions surrounding central questions of theory and of the philosophy of law. This book brings together 10 studies that address general aspects of Kelsen's work, as well as the issue of the normativity of law and the relationship between law, power and politics. The studies, written by European (Germany and Italy) and American (United States and Brazil) authors, are unpublished in Portuguese and enshrine a diversity of points of view that, combined with the indisputable quality of the authors, can contribute to a better understanding, in Portuguese-speaking countries, the legal and political theory of Hans Kelsen.
