Clinical Skills in Nursing, prepared with the collaboration of nurses from all over Brazil, working in the care, management, teaching and research segments, was developed to help Nursing students and nurses to perform procedures and techniques based on the most recent scientific recommendations, aiming at the principles of quality and safety. The chapters, divided into 13 thematic sections, illustrated with approximately 400 images, cover various subjects, from the most common to the most complex, catering to a variety of audiences and clinical situations. Each of the procedures is accompanied by a step-by-step description for its execution, with the respective scientific justification, in addition to examples for carrying out Nursing records, considerations in the vital cycle with specifications for the pediatric population, pregnant women and the elderly, and the possible related Nursing diagnoses. At the end of each chapter, there are questions for study with the aim of encouraging the reader to develop their clinical reasoning and consolidate the most relevant aspects of each technique.
