Book, Guenadi Aigui: silence and clamor[LS]
Descrição
This book contains texts by Guenádi Aigui, organized and translated from Russian by his Brazilian interlocutor and friend Boris Schnaiderman, with the collaboration, throughout this work, of Jerusa Pires Ferreira. The volume was already typed at the publisher, about to be printed, when Boris and Jerusa received from their friend Cristina Dunáeva the recent edition of Aigui's collected works in Russian, Sobrânie sotchiniênii, a succession of small, elegant books with an impeccable finish. The organization was carried out by the poet's widow, Galina Aigui, and Aleksandr Makárov Krótkov. Each booklet is accompanied by an essay text, each written by a Russian scholar of his work. The edition had financial assistance from the German Pen Club, the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) and the Royal Academy of Sweden. The presence of DAAD among the edition's financiers is due to the fact that Aigui spent time in Germany at the invitation of this organization. The Royal Academy of Sweden expressed, with its participation, interest in Aigui's work, which had been proposed for the Nobel Prize by a petition of scholars of his work, from different countries, among whom was one of the authors of this book, Boris Schnaiderman. It was also Cristina Dunáeva who presented them, a few years ago, with Aigui's great anthology, Razgovor na rastoiânii (Distance Conversation). It is a debt of gratitude to Galina Aigui and the poet Léon Robel that the organizers and publisher especially register, all the more so as, thanks to it, the publication of the texts collected here has become more complete and precise.
