Professional Ethics, a classic book written by professor Antônio Lopes de Sá, one of the most renowned authors in the field of Accounting Sciences, is a work that studies conscience and ethical duty applied to professional ethics in contemporary society based on classic and modern philosophers. The book is divided into two parts: the first presents the broad meaning of what ethics is and addresses its various aspects, thinkers, mental bases, conduct and duties. The second part of the book is dedicated to ethical application in professional life, presenting the basic and complementary professional virtues. This 10th edition of Professional Ethics has a new chapter dedicated to the Ethics of Forgiveness written by professor René Dentz. This chapter presents the ideas of the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur, who substantially addressed the theme of forgiveness throughout his career.
