Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Thomas S. Kuhn began his university career as a theoretical physicist. Circumstances led him to the study of history and concerns of a philosophical nature. An unusual trajectory, which this book somewhat summarizes and which explains its multipurpose character. Multiple areas, from the exact to the human, converge towards acute analyses, which lead the author, questioning established dogmas, to see the progress of science not so much as the gradual accumulation of new gnosiological data, but rather as a contradictory process marked by revolutions in scientific thought. Such revolutions are defined as the moment of disintegration of the traditional in a discipline, forcing the community of professionals linked to it to reformulate the set of commitments on which the practice of this science is based. One of the most interesting aspects of The Structure of Scientific Revolutions is the analysis of the role of factors outside science in the eruption of these moments of crisis and transformation of scientific thought and corresponding practice.
