Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. No one disputes that linguistic communication or a text in Morse are messages, given their natural, analogical or spontaneous character. But how to face cultural facts whose primary purpose does not seem to be communication, such as a fork, a house, a system of social relations? This is the question that this book seeks to answer, with a broad examination - especially of visual communications, architecture, as well as the epistemological problem of 'structures' - of what it is and the meaning that semiological research can have, that is, a research that considers all cultural phenomena as facts of communication, for which isolated messages are organized and become understandable in reference to codes.
