The work of Rio de Janeiro native José Lino Grünewald (1931-2000), friend and early companion of the poets of the São Paulo concrete group, member of the Noigandres group, has been the object of growing interest and reevaluation. The publisher Perspectiva published, in 2002, in the Debates collection, 'The Zero Degree of Writing', a selection of his literary criticism articles, written by José Guilherme Correa. Writer and journalist (1943), one of the poet's most beloved interlocutors, from the younger generation, José Guilherme has dedicated himself to organizing, with the cooperation of Ecila de Azeredo Grünewald, the poet's widow, his various still dispersed texts. This volume, also compiled by him, brings together practically all of José Lino Grünewald's poetry. To the material of the books that the poet published, 'Um e Dois' (1958) and 'E Escritover' (1983), now revised according to the original graphic criteria, is added a set of unpublished works - some never published, such as the excerpts from the ' letters-cantos', in Poundian style, where he distills his humor, commenting on events and characters from his circle and his time. The book also includes post-faces by Décio Pignatari and José Lino himself to the first edition of E Escritover; an article in his honor, written by me; and a critical-creative text by the organizer and preface, which dialogues with the song letters. This collection thus restores into circulation the poetic work of one of the most expressive voices of his generation. José Lino Grünewald, José Lino, Zé Lino, Zèlino or Zelino, as he is often referred to in this book, appears here, in all aspects of his poetry, sound and visual, but also emotional, participant, ironic and sometimes caustic. Special attention was paid to the graphic design of his poems. In short, these texts, which reflect, in essence, the unique personality of the author, unforgettable for those who knew him, are now open, in full corpus, to all who are interested in poetry among us.
