Food and Nutrition Education | From Theory to Practice addresses a series of topics on eating behavior and food and nutritional education, bringing together theory and practice in a work that is intended not only for students and professionals in the field, but also for anyone interested in the subject. With the aim of offering even more didactic content to the reader, this work was divided into three parts: Conceptual Bases, Implementation of Food and Nutrition Education Programs and Active Methodologies. Consistent and based on scientific literature, the 22 chapters that make up the parts cover topics of great relevance in the area, highlighting: creative methodologies for teaching food education in a fun way; suggestions for food programs for implementation in different social environments, such as schools and companies; more common eating disorders, such as bulimia and anorexia; dietary advice for special groups, such as athletes, pregnant women, obese people, the elderly, adults, teenagers and children; as well as sustainability related to food. The critical and reflective reading of the knowledge presented in this book contributes to the qualification of the various actions aimed at the Science of Nutrition.
