After her son's death, Doroteia decides to abandon prostitution and look for her cousins in search of a virtuous life. The three widows, however, reject her because of her past and because they believe that her beauty attracts sin. To accept it, they impose one condition on it: it needs to be ugly. Doroteia, which premiered in 1950, is a play in which men are absent, only appearing in the speech of the female characters. This edition has an afterword by Sergio Fonta and signed by Santa Rosa, set designer of the first production.
