The last poetic work published during his lifetime, Distraídos venuemos was released in 1987 and quickly became a contemporary classic. For the poet Alice Ruiz - to whom the book is dedicated -, although the title of this selection written over four years refers to the previous book, Caprichos e relaxos, "the content of the poems points to greater skepticism". Here are experimentation, colloquiality and constant dialogue with concrete and marginal poetry, in addition to the flirtation with oriental culture, which marks the final part of the volume. Included in All Poetry, Distraídos Venvamos features Leminski at his best: "Everything I do/ someone in me that I despise/ always thinks it's the best./ I barely scribble,/ I can't change anything anymore./ It's already a classic ".
