Book, From prose (Hilda Hilst)[LS]
Descrição
Prose brings together for the first time all the fiction of one of the most original voices in Brazilian literature, honored at Flip 2018. In 1950, at the age of twenty, Hilda Hilst released her first book of poetry, Presságio, beginning a vast work poetry that would last 45 years. Her intense but brief theater production would begin and end in the second half of the 1960s, when, installed in the legendary Casa do Sol, the author left aside her busy life in São Paulo to dedicate herself entirely to writing. Her debut in fiction, however, would take place in 1970, with Fluxo-floema, a celebrated title that escapes easy categories: throughout five prose texts with high poetic voltage, the author reveals her extraordinary talent. In Da prosa, this and all the other titles in the fictional work of the author of Rútilo nada appear together for the first time. On each page, the reader can notice how Hilda's writing, which in the 1990s would say “goodbye to serious literature” to dedicate herself to her erotic trilogy, remains deeply authentic, transgressive and, above all, current. In a two-volume box, this edition includes unpublished texts by Daniel Galera and Carola Saavedra — two acclaimed writers of the new generation, readers and admirers of Hilda — and by Alcir Pécora, who organized the writer's work in the 2000s for the publisher Globo. From prose he brings together the books Fluxo-phloema (1970), Kadosh (1973), Pequenos discourses. And a big one (1977), You don't move from yourself (1980), The obscene lady D (1982), With my dog's eyes (1986), Lori Lamby's pink notebook (1990), Contos d'escárnio — Texts grotesques (1990), Letters from a seducer (1991), Rútil nada (1993) and Estar Being. Have been (1997).
