For the attentive and visceral psychoanalyst, each encounter is a possibility of discovery. This is how Michel de M'Uzan began to clinically and reflexively deal with the processes of creative creation and to develop notions such as “psychological chimera” and identity “shock” or “scandal”, based on patients' encounters with their unconscious. A radical observer, he realized that this same process occurred in equal measure when the person knew they were dying, demanding of them what he called the “work of death”, another of his key concepts.
