In the seven dialogues that make up Conversations on Actor Training, Jean-Loup Rivière, theater critic and researcher, and Jacques Lassalle, actor, director and researcher, both teachers and concerned with the meaning and scope of theatrical pedagogy, propose and discuss problems fundamental, true points of the question, about the training of the actor and how to take the potential desire of a young person to dedicate his work, and certainly his life, to the exercise of the art of the stage to full realization as an artist in the eyes of not only the critic specialist or the enraptured public, but, above all, to the judgment of the passing of the years and his achievements, which elevate him to the status of creator of the scenic roles that he embodies in his body, that is, of theater performer-artist.
