When writing about love, death, fear, sexuality, loneliness and joy, the author of Onde andará Dulce Veiga? builds complex and absolutely profound characters in every detail. With verve and sensitivity, the “writer of passion”, nicknamed Lygia Fagundes Telles, knew how to combine delirium and lucidity, euphoria and anguish, light and shadow like no one else.
