Book, International Accounting for Undergraduate Texts Study 1/10[LS]

This work proves how fruitful scientific production in (international) financial accounting is in Brazil. The aim of the book is to be an introduction to the subject focused on undergraduate students and will certainly play an important role in the development of our process of convergence with international accounting standards. The texts were organized in a broad but precise way, focusing on the main aspects of the accounting model brought by the International Accounting Standards Committee, translated into the original English expression International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) and adopted in Brazil. The authors approached the topics in a more basic way, without more in-depth discussions, which were complemented with exercises and case studies, in order to allow their adoption in all Accounting courses in Brazil. The absence of some themes does not reflect carelessness on the part of the authors, but defines a strong sense of priority, which is essential in accounting teaching. Updated with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 2009, this work differs from its similar products in the market by specifically dealing with IASB pronouncements, considering that this is the guidance that financial institutions and publicly traded companies must follow in Brazil to from 2010. Relevant reading for auditors and accountants involved in the globalization of accounting standards and for professionals who deal with this topic in other related courses, such as finance, administration, business economics and business law.
