This book constitutes a basic foreign trade course, as it covers in an integrated manner aspects that involve studies related to international business. It allows several disciplines to adopt it simultaneously and/or sequentially. It is divided into three parts. Part I deals with the Construction of the International Trade System and contains four chapters, which cover: the first theories of foreign trade, gathered in mercantilist thought (1); the classical foreign trade theories of Adam Smith and Ricardo (2); the evolution of the structure of international trade from the post-war period to the present day (3); globalization, formation of regional economic blocs and Mercosur (4). Part II focuses on the practical procedures of foreign trade, involving all administrative procedures and techniques necessary for optimal performance. It is divided into three chapters: export systematics (5); import process (6); and international conditions established for trade expressed by incoterms (7). The last part studies ways to maintain and implement international negotiations and is made up of three chapters: on international marketing (8); international commercial law and Lex mercatória (9) and international negotiation techniques (10). Textbook for subjects in Foreign Trade, Administration courses with an emphasis on Foreign Trade and International Relations. Due to its didactic approach, it is aimed at students (undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as technical courses) and scholars of the subject. It is especially useful for the subjects Introduction to foreign trade, Export and import systematics, Negotiation techniques, Special topics in foreign trade. The book assists students in preparing their course conclusion works (TCCs), as well as for monographs, dissertations and theses in courses that focus on the study of Foreign Trade, particularly with a focus on the Brazilian reality.
