Descrição
Language: Brazilian Portuguese. Cinemateca is the fifth book by Eucanaã Ferraz, one of the most prominent poets to emerge in the panorama of Brazilian literature in the last two decades. The volume comes in addition to Livro Primeiro (1990), Martelo (1997), the award-winning Desassombro (2002) and Rua do Mundo (2004). Light and amplitude give shape to Eucanaã Ferraz's poems, compositions permeated by an incidence of clarity that illuminates the architecture of the world and defines the contours of reality. A street, a tree, a building, an insect, the blue sky, the sea, the lightness of a waltz, the fado do ox or memory frames are organized around a certain poetic rhythm characteristic of the author, at the same time prosaic and musical. Like a clear and intelligible film, we are presented with these poems through a verbal projector with varied resources. The poet directs his writing, of great pictorial skill, towards what he is interested in sharing. Work, cities, childhood memories, art, dreams, love and their instabilities compete to compose unexpected images. Colloquiality and subtle humor stand out in compositions shaped by refined description and a feeling of the passage of time that gives density to the now. As a filmmaker or - in the company of the reader - as a cinephile, the poet wants to surprise the ephemeral, enjoy the gratuitousness of beauty and, thus, try to capture the vibration of the moment.
