Book, Paths to the left: elements for a reconstruction[LS]

The current condition of the left is that of a man lost in the forest: a way out must be found. It is based on this observation that the philosopher Ruy Fausto undertakes a rigorous critical assessment of the historical experience of the left, focusing on Brazil but without losing sight of the international context. Added to the critical effort is the attempt to propose elements to reconstruct a project that is at once democratic, anti-capitalist, anti-populist and ecologically aware. Paths of the Left is based on a text published in the magazine Piauí, in October 2016, and which provoked extensive debate with interlocutors from all political spectrums – proof of the acumen and solidity of Ruy Fausto's reflection, and the need for qualified public discussion in times marked by intolerance and the weakening of democratic institutions.
