Book, Adventure, A (Agamben)[LS]

Language: Brazilian Portuguese. In this essay, published in Italy in 2015, Agamben explores the origins and meaning of the word “adventure”, from Antiquity to Modernity, from poetic to amorous adventure. He will look in literature, philosophy and history – on a journey that goes through Macrobius' Saturnalia, medieval chivalric poetry, Goethe, Dante, Hegel and Heidegger, among others – for ways to deconstruct and reconstruct the different meanings of this word. “Adventure and word, life and language are confused, and the metal that results from their fusion is that of destiny”.
